Steps to begin the onboarding process with Tag Lending Group
Log in to NMLS and grant access rights to Tag Lending Group, LLC to begin the onboarding and review process.
Update your employment information in NMLS as part of the transition process, including submitting an updated MU4 form where applicable.
Submit a request through NMLS to associate with Tag Lending Group, LLC. All requests are subject to review, approval, and applicable state requirements.
Address any outstanding license items or conditions requested by the state. Processing timelines vary by state and application status.
You may be eligible to apply for licensure in another state and begin the process of originating loans, subject to state approval and applicable requirements.
Have you been state-licensed for at least 30 days, or federally registered for at least one year?
Do you currently have an active W-2 employment classification reflected in your NMLS record?
Is your license in good standing, with no revocations, suspensions, denials, or cease and desist orders?
If you are currently a W-2 Mortgage Loan Officer in good standing, you may be eligible to apply for licensure in another state under Temporary Authority, subject to state-specific requirements and approval.
May require a reasonable proximity (75 Miles) to a licensed office location. Specific requirements are subject to state guidelines.
May include proximity (100-Miles) considerations to a licensed place of business, subject to state interpretation and regulatory guidance.
May require maintaining a reasonable distance (100-miles) from a licensed office location, based on applicable state requirements.
May require a reasonable commutable distance (no specific mileage) to a licensed place of business, as determined by state guidelines.
May include proximity (2.5 hours from assigned location) or operational requirements related to a licensed location, subject to state-specific rules.

LOAN OFFICER COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
Mortgage Loan Officers may be classified as W-2 employees or independent contractors (1099), subject to applicable state laws and company policies.
In certain states, Mortgage Loan Officers may be required to be classified as W-2 employees based on applicable laws and regulatory guidance.
These states may include: CA (DFPI), GA, IN (DFI), MA, MS, MT, NV, NJ, NC, SC, RI, and VT

Register your account through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).
